Silverado Ranch ,NV : Driver was killed after Car rear ends to parked van on Saturday , December 20th 2014

A Las Vegas man died early Saturday after the car he was driving rear-ended a parked van.

Metro Police said the accident happened around 1:07 a.m. on Richmar Avenue near Silverado Ranch Boulevard and Bermuda Road in the south valley. The man was driving a 2003 Cadillac DeVille east on Richmar when he rear ended a Nissan van parked on the side of the road.

Metro said the man was not wearing a seat belt at the time. He was transported to St. Rose Dominican Hospital - Siena Campus, where he was declared dead.

It is the 86th traffic fatality in Metro's jurisdiction this year, police said.
