Boston, MA : Man dies after being hit by car on Memorial Drive Tuesday on August 19, 2014

A Boston man was killed Tuesday when he was struck by a car on Memorial Drive, according to Massachusetts State Police. The crash happened at 7 a.m. just east of the Massachusetts Avenue Bridge on Memorial Drive, police said. State police said a 2008 Honda Accord being driven by a 24-year-old man from Brighton was traveling eastbound on Memorial Drive when a 50-year-old man from Boston was struck. The man was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital where he was pronounced dead. It's not immediately clear why the man was in the roadway, police said.
