A 19-year-old male is in critical condition at Utah Valley Hospital after he was struck by a vehicle late Thursday night near the intersection of Bulldog Blvd. and State St.
Nisha King of the Provo Police Department said the male was crossing the intersection of Bulldog Blvd. and State St. at about 11:45 p.m. Thursday night when he was hit by a vehicle. King said the cyclist was wearing dark clothing and did not have a light mounted on his bicycle.
The male was taken to Utah Valley Hospital in critical condition with non-life-threatening injuries, including a broken neck and major trauma to his torso.
The male's identity has not yet been released, but King said he is not from Utah County.
The driver of the vehicle was not transported and was reported to be in good condition.
The cause of the accident is under investigation by Provo police.
