Bradford, PA : Brockport man killed in Saturday crash on September 17th 2016

A Brockport man is dead after a crash on U.S. Route 219 at its intersection with Cenni Lane in Horton Township at 9:54 p.m. Saturday.
Ridgway-based state police said Christopher S. Irwin, 28, was killed in the one-car crash.
Police said a Hyundai Tiburon driven by Irwin was traveling north on Route 219 near Cenni Lane when the car crossed the center line and southbound lane, striking a curb and a block wall with its front driver’s side. The car came to rest facing east, blocking both lanes of travel.
Police said two passengers in the car, a 9-year-old female and an 8-year-old male, both of Ridgway, were suspected to have serious injuries, and were taken by ambulance to Penn Highlands Elk in St. Marys. No further details on their condition was immediately available.
Police said Irwin was not wearing a seatbelt, and the restraint system for the 9-year-old girl was used improperly.
Irwin was pronounced dead at the scene by Elk County Coroner Michelle Muccio.
Assisting at the scene were the Ridgway Fire and EMS and members of the Horton Township Volunteer Fire Department.
