Hampton, VA : One person injured after a Two-vehicle crash near the Peninsula Town Center on Sunday night, April 3, 2016

One person was injured in a two-car crash Sunday night in Hampton.

The crash happened at the intersection of Coliseum Drive and Merchant Lane at about 7:30 p.m., according to Batallion Chief Anthony Chittum with the Hampton Fire Department.

One person, described only as an adult, was taken to a hospital with minor injuries, Chittum said.

The intersection was closed following the crash but had been reopened by 8:20 p.m., Chittum said.
