Fort Wayne, IN : Motorcyclist critically injured in a motorcycle crash at 1200 block of W. Main Street On Thursday, May 19th, 2016

A motorcycle rider was in critical condition after a Thursday night crash.

Around 9 p.m., the Fort Wayne Police Department was called to the 1200 block of W. Main Street on report for a motorcycle accident with injuries.

Upon arrival, officers found an unresponsieve male laying in the street. The male was transported to a local hospital where he was listed in critical condition.

Witnesses indicated that the subject was driving east on Main Street with a group of other motorcyclists. The male lost control of his motorcycle and laid the bike down near Mechanic Street.

No other vehicles or people where involved or hurt. It is unknown if alcohol or speed were factors in the crash. The rider was not wearing a helmet at the time of the scrash.

The incident remains under investigation.
