Rockmart, GA : One person dead and one injured in wreck on Highway 278 near Rockmart in Thursday October 20th 2016

One person is dead and another was transported to Floyd Medical Center with injuries in a wreck this evening in Polk County on Highway 278 in the Rockmart area according to Polk County deputy coroner Marty Robinson.
Robinson said the name of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of family members of the death.
The two car wreck took place in the eastbound lanes at McCowan Road near Rockmart.
