Polk, FL : 1 dead after crash on I-4 in Polk on Thursday, 12th September 2019

One person is dead after a crash on I-4 in Polk County early Thursday morning, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Andrew Bernard Kovit, 23, of Jacksonville, was driving a 2017 Chevrolet Camaro westbound in the outside lane near U.S. 27 when he overtook a white tractor-trailer at a high rate of speed at about 2:18 a.m., FHP spokesman Steve Gaskins said in a news release.
