New Windsor, MD : 2 dead, 1 hospitalized in New Windsor crash on Md. 31 and Medford Road on Tuesday, 4th February, 2020
Two people died after their vehicle collided with a tractor-trailer on Md. 31 and Medford Road in New Windsor on Tuesday night, police say.
A 2012 Honda Accord driven by Silver Spring resident Candida Odyli Tinoco Flores, 48, was headed south on Medford Road when the vehicle failed to stop at a stop sign and was hit by a 2019 Freightliner tractor pulling a 2015 Pott trailer heading west on Md. 31, according to a Wednesday news release from Carroll County Sheriff’s Office. Police were called to the crash at about 6:05 p.m., the release states.
Flores and the passenger, Rockville resident Dania Lizeth Hernandez Rauda, 52, were pronounced dead on scene by emergency medical personnel, the release reads.
The 61-year-old Dundalk man driving the tractor-trailer was taken to Carroll Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the release. Police do not believe the man was at fault in the crash and there was no indication of impairment during the initial investigation, the release states.
