Daytona Beach, FL : Man struck, killed by car in Daytona Beach on Monday, February 16, 2015
A pedestrian was killed while walking with his bike on a busy roadway Monday morning, according to the Daytona Beach Police Department.
Police said the victim was headed north on Clyde Morris Boulevard near Verona Street just after 6:30 a.m. when he was hit.
A vehicle traveling in the same direction swerved to avoid the pedestrian, but the car behind that vehicle couldn’t move in time, police said.
The pedestrian was rushed to the hospital, where he died. His name was not released.
