Sterling, NY : Six people injured Sunday in fiery Cayuga County crash on Sunday, 14th March 2021

Six people were injured Sunday in a fiery two-vehicle crash in the town of Sterling, Cayuga County Sheriff’s deputies said.

None of the injuries appear to be life-threatening, deputies said, although one victim was airlifted to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse. The others were taken to Upstate by ambulance.

The crash happened about 2:51 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of State Route 104 and State Barn Road, according to the office of Cayuga County Sheriff Brian Schenck.

A 2009 Ford Flex SUV, driven by Pascall Luaboshi, 49, of Buffalo, was westbound on State Barn Road when it failed to yield the right of way on Route 104 and hit a 2005 Dodge Caravan heading east, deputies said.
