Milford, CT : Two men injured after a head-on crash on the highway early Saturday morning, April 16, 2016
Two people were injured, one with life threatening wounds, in a head-on collision on I-95 after a report of a vehicle driving the wrong way early Saturday morning, a fire official said.
The crash happened about 2:20 a.m., in the northbound lanes just before Exit 36, the official said. Both drivers were trapped inside their cars, and both had to be extricated, Battalion Chief Anthony Fabrizi said.
One was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital with life-threatening injuries, but Fabrizi said he did not know the man's condition.
Extricating the second driver took about 30 minutes, and he driver was conscious the whole time, police said. He also was taken to Yale-New Haven, where his condition was unknown, Fabrizi said.
