REDDING, CA : 2 killed in high-speed crash on I-5 in Redding on Wednesday, 17th March 2021
A high-speed crash killed two people on Interstate 5 in Redding Wednesday morning.
It happened in the southbound lanes, south of Knighton Road, just after 4 a.m., according to the CHP. The car, a 2006 Toyota, was traveling at a high rate of speed when it ran off the road and hit a tree.
CHP, the Fire Department, and other EMS personnel on the scene said they located the car on the west shoulder of Riverland Drive.
The two people who died at the scene, were from Anderson, according to the CHP.
The CHP is investigating whether alcohol or drugs were a factor.
