Myrtle Creek, OR : 58-year-old Jonathan W. Graham dies in car crash on Interstate 5 near Milepost 110 on Thursday, January 29, 2015
A Myrtle Creek man was killed Thursday afternoon in a single-vehicle accident on Interstate 5 near Milepost 110, according to Oregon State Police.
The victim has been identified as 58-year-old Jonathan W. Graham.
According to a preliminary investigation, Graham was driving a black Ford Focus north on I-5 at about 4:45 p.m. when, for an unknown reason, the car drifted into a traffic barrier, troopers said. The vehicle sustained heavy damage to the front and side.
Graham was taken to Mercy Medical Center in Roseburg and was later transported to Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend in Springfield, where he died from his injuries, troopers said.
The freeway remained open while troopers investigated the crash.
The Oregon Department of Transportation and Myrtle Creek police and fire departments assisted at the scene.
