Lacey, WA : Car crashes into building in Lacey at 4227 Pacific Ave. SE on Monday, 17th December 2018

A 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of DUI, hit-and-run and simple assault Sunday night after the car he was driving crashed into a vacant building at 4227 Pacific Ave. SE, according to Lacey police.

Around 7:30 p.m. Sunday, the 21-year-old man’s Nissan and a Volvo were both eastbound on Pacific Avenue when the man allegedly crashed into the Volvo and then the building, Lacey Commander Joe Upton said Monday.

After the crash, the driver allegedly got out of the car and fled, but he was chased down by the driver of the Volvo about the same time that Lacey police arrived, Upton said.


The Volvo was occupied by three people, he said. The man driving the Nissan also had a passenger.
