Camden Twp, OH : Two Wellington sisters injured in a car crash on Route 511 in Lorain County on Sunday, May 10, 2015
Two Wellington teenage sisters were critically injured in a car crash at the intersection of state routes 511 and 303, called in at 8:24 p.m. tonight.
A Ford Focus eastbound on Route 303 driven by Leigha Hostal with passenger Erin Hostal was broadsided on the driver’s side by a southbound pickup on Route 511 driven by an unidentifed male driver, according to Sgt. Tim Hoffman, Ohio Highway Patrol assistant commander.
Hoffman said a witness said Leigha Hostal slowed, but didn’t stop at the intersection stop sign.
At 9:20 p.m., two helicopters bound for MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland took off with the Hostal sisters.
The pickup driver, who wasn’t seriously injured, was taken to Merc yAllen Hospital.
