One person died Tuesday afternoon in a two-vehicle accident west of Loveland on U.S. 34.
Colorado State Patrol Trooper Shawn Wycoff said the driver of a 1978 Ford Pinto, headed westbound on U.S. 34, died after he drove into the shoulder of the road to get around a car that had slowed to turn off the highway, then overcorrected and crossed over into oncoming traffic.
He hit a 2001 Toyota Corolla, whose driver was transported to Medical Center of the Rockies.
The accident happened at U.S. 34 and Goodwine Lane.
