Newport, AR : New Jersey man died in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 367 in Newport on Thursday, June 25, 2015

A New Jersey man was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Newport.

According to a preliminary crash report from Arkansas State Police, a Ford pickup truck was stopped at the intersection of 3rd Street and Arkansas Highway 367 in Newport when a Honda Civic rear-ended the truck just after 10 a.m.

Police identified the driver of the car as 50-year-old David S. Levant, of Emerson, New Jersey.

He died in the crash.

There is no word on if the driver of the truck was injured, as the crash report did not list that information.
