One person died in a two-vehicle crash in Chippewa County Friday.
Stanton Bedell, 42, Stanley, was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision at the intersection of Highway MM and 300th Street.
According to the Chippewa County sheriff’s office, a vehicle driven by Nathan A. Briggs, 16, Cadott, was traveling northbound on 300th Street when it failed to stop at a stop sign and broadsided a vehicle traveling eastbound on Highway MM driven by Terrany J. Flick, 33, Altoona.
The Flick vehicle rolled multiple times. It appeared that neither Flick nor her passenger, Bedell, were wearing seat belts. Flick was taken to Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire.
Briggs and a passenger in his vehicle, Hunter K. Kann, 16, Cadott, suffered minor injuries.
The accident remains under investigation.
