STATEN ISLAND, NY : Two injured after car crash in Grant City on Monday, 19th March 2018

Two people were injured after a car crashed into a pole in Grant City early Monday morning.

The black Toyota sedan slammed into the pole near the intersection of Lincoln Avenue and Hylan Boulevard around 12:21 a.m., a spokeswoman for the FDNY said.

Two people were trapped in the wreck, but emergency responders were able to remove them from the vehicle.

They were transported to Staten Island University Hospital in Ocean Breeze, and were expected to recover the spokeswoman said. She could not provide further information about the patients.
