Melvindale, MI : Truck driver dies in tanker crash Interstate 75 On Thursday night, August 20 2015

A company says a truck driver who was critically injured in a tanker crash that closed a stretch of Detroit-area freeway has died.
Brighton-based Corrigan Oil Co. says 53-year-old Roddy Winn of Detroit died Thursday night.
Company president Mike Corrigan says in a statement they’re “deeply saddened by the loss of a longtime member of the Corrigan family.” He says thoughts and prayers are with the driver’s wife and two daughters.
State police say the truck containing about 8,000 gallons of gasoline was heading southbound on Interstate 75 when the driver lost control, hitting the median wall and coming to rest in the northbound lanes.
State police say the crash is under investigation.The Michigan Department of Transportation says northbound lanes could be closed through the weekend for repairs.
