Gulford, CT : Woman struck, killed by SUV while crossing street in Guilford on Tuesday, Nov 3, 2015

Police are investigating after a woman was struck and killed by a sport utility vehicle in Connecticut.

Police were called to Church Street in Guilford around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday and found an elderly woman on the road. Police say she was struck while crossing the street.

She was rushed to Yale-New Haven Hospital where she was pronounced dead. Her identity has not been released.

Police say the driver of the car that hit the woman is cooperating with authorities. They say alcohol and speed don't appear to be factors in the crash.
