Glasgow, KY : Barren County woman hurt in wreck on Burkesville Road on Friday afternoon, April 8, 2016

A Glasgow woman was injured Friday afternoon when the vehicle she was driving was rear-ended.

At about 1:07 p.m. Friday, the Barren County Sheriff’s Office responded to an injury collision on Burkesville Road. Sherry Wilson, 42, of Glasgow was traveling eastbound in her 2004 Isuzu and was attempting to make a left turn onto Witty Road when she was rear-ended by 2006 Mercury driven by David Crowe, 29, of Tompkinsville, according to a BCSO report.

The collision caused Wilson’s vehicle to overturn several times in the roadway before coming to a stop.

Wilson was transported by Barren Metcalfe EMS to T.J. Samson Community Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Crowe along with a passenger in his vehicle were not injured, according to the report.

BCSO was assisted on scene by the East Barren Fire Department and Barren Metcalfe EMS.
