Logan,WV : 2 car crash sends 1 to the hospital on January, Saturday 27th 2018

A van and a sport utility vehicle collided Saturday evening at the intersection of Water Street and Main Avenue sending one person to the hospital.

According to Nick Ferrell of the Logan Fire Department, a van t-boned a Ford Explorer at the intersection. The driver of the Explorer was transported to the hospital for observation while the driver of the van refused treatment from medical personal.

The accident occurred around 5:53 p.m. and tied up traffic for a couple of hours.

"Traffic was congested a little bit while we cleared the scene," Ferrell said. "Could have been a lot worse than it was."

Logan Fire Department responded to the scene while officers with the Logan City Police and Logan County Sheriff's Department assisted at the scene.
