Southside, AL : 2 sent to hospital following head-on collision on Alabama Highway 77 on Thursday, 30th January, 2020

Two people were taken to a local hospital Thursday night after a head-on collision on Alabama Highway 77 in Southside.

Southside Assistant Fore Chief Wade Buckner said police and firefighters were called to the scene at 5:37 p.m. at Alabama 77 and Silverwood, where one vehicle apparently crossed the double yellow line and collided with another vehicle.

The highway was blocked for some time for safety reasons, Buckner said.
