Kankakee County, IL : Man killed in single-vehicle crash on Route 113 Sunday night, June 19, 2016
A 22-year-old man was killed Sunday night in a single-vehicle car crash along Illinois Route 113.
Sam Provost, of Kankakee, was headed north near 3315W when he apparently veered off the road and flipped his car several times in the ditch. He was flung from the Mazda3 he was driving.
The accident occurred about 10 p.m., and Provost was pronounced dead at Riverside Medical Center at 11:42 p.m., according to Kankakee County Coroner Bob Gessner.
Provost was headed to work in Wilmington where he worked in a tire distribution warehouse. He is the son of Lee Provost, a reporter for the Daily Journal.
Last month, two people died in separate wrecks on Route 113.
