Wichita, KS : Kansas teen killed in collision with cement truck on Tuesday, 17th April 2018

A senior at Hoisington High School was killed Tuesday when her car collided with a cement truck in central Kansas, authorities said.

Shealee Stover, 18, was driving west on North East 30th Road in Barton County north of Great Bend shortly after noon when she apparently ran a stop sign at Washington and collided with a cement truck, according to a statement posted on the Barton County Sheriff's Facebook page.

The cement truck was traveling north on Washington and the impact forced both vehicles north until they rolled. Stover's car landed on its roof, while the cement truck came to rest on its side.

Stover was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the sheriff's office statement, while the driver of the cement truck was not injured.
