COLUMBIA, SC : 1 dead following Sumter County crash on Saturday, 19th October 2024

The South Carolina Highway Patrol (SCHP) reported one person is dead following a crash in Sumter County.

The crash happened around 2:30 a.m. Friday on SC 763 on Keels Road.

Troopers said the driver of a Hyundai Sonata was heading west on Keels Road, ran through the stop sign at Highway 763 and hit a tree.

SCHP is investigating the crash.
