FULTON, WI : Authorities ID Janesville man killed in Rock Co. crash on Wednesday, 23rd January 2019

Authorities have identified a Janesville man that was killed in a two-vehicle crash on Wednesday morning.

The Rock County Medical Examiner said 20-year-old Tyler Christian Sather was pronounced dead at the scene. Sather’s death was due to the injuries he sustained in the crash.

Sergeant Josh Lund of the Rock County Sheriff’s Office said authorities responded to a report of a two-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 51 near North Kidder Road in the Town of Fulton just before 7 a.m.

An investigation showed a car being driven by a 20-year-old Janesville man was traveling southbound on U.S. Highway 51 when the driver lost control of the car on the snow covered and slippery road while beginning to crest a hill. The car slide into the northbound lane and was struck broadside by a northbound truck. The truck was being driven by a 45-year-old Janesville man. Both vehicles came to rest in the road, blocking both lanes of traffic.
