RENTON, VA : Parents killed by daughter's boyfriend after warning her of his racist views on Sunday, December, 24th 2017
Scott and Buckley Fricker had concerns about their 16-year-old daughter's boyfriend and his interests. So they did what any concerned parents would do. They told the teens they couldn't see each other anymore.
Friday morning, Buckley's final post on Facebook was a quote that read, "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing."
Hours later Janet Kuhn, Buckley's mother, said there was an early morning rendezvous between the Fricker's teen daughter and the suspect. Police are not identifying the suspect because of his age.
"They spent an hour together approximately from 4:00 to 5:00 and Buckley and Scott heard and noise and sensed somehow something was up," Kuhn said.
Kuhn said the boyfriend shot the Frickers when they confronted him, and then shot himself. She says they would have no regrets in how they protected their daughter.
"I don't think there's anything else they could have done," Kuhn said. "But who could ever foresee anything this horrible."
The Washington Post reported Saturday the suspect had been dating the couple’s daughter, but that the family had recently persuaded her to break up with him because he espoused neo-Nazi philosophies.
