WINTER PARK, FL : Critical injuries involved in Winter Park crash on Tuesday, January 3rd 2017

A person was taken to the Orlando Regional Medical Center with critical injuries Tuesday evening after a two-vehicle crash in Winter Park, fire officials said.

The wreck took place just after 7:10 p.m. at Old Howell Branch Road and Aloma Avenue, and involved a gold sedan and a red van, according to investigators.

One victim was trapped inside one of the vehicles and had to be removed. Three people were involved in all, but the other two refused to be taken to a hospital.

The collision was reported to the Florida Highway Patrol as a crash with a roadblock involved, but it’s not clear if traffic is affected at this hour.
