Authorities say two people were killed and three others were hurt in a two-car crash in southern Wisconsin's Rock County.

The Rock County Sheriff's Office says the crash happened Saturday afternoon at an intersection in the town of Union. The sheriff's office says a Dodge Charger went through a stop sign and was struck by a Dodge Avenger.

According to the sheriff's office, foliage obscured the stop sign.

The Rock County Medical Examiner's Office said the driver of the Charger, 53-year-old Kay Ellen Coleman of Madison, was pronounced dead at the scene, as was passenger 46-year-old Michael Crotty of Evansville. The woman's 60-year-old husband was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.

The sheriff's office says the 24-year-old woman driving the Avenger and her 4-year-old daughter were transported to a hospital with injuries that weren't life-threatening.
