Syracuse, NY : Three people died and fourth person injured in one-vehicle crash on Monday March 7 2016
Police say three people have died and a fourth is hospitalized after a one-vehicle crash on a main thoroughfare in Syracuse.
Official say police and fire crews received a call around 2:30 a.m. Monday reporting a crash with serious injuries on Erie Boulevard. Police say when they arrived they found a female unconscious and three other people unresponsive.
The driver and the front-seat passenger were pronounced dead at the scene. A third person later was pronounced dead at a hospital.
The passenger who survived the crash is listed in serious condition.
Police say the victims' names are being withheld while officials notify their relatives.
The cause of the crash is being investigated.
Erie Boulevard, also known as Route 5, is a main east-west road through Syracuse.
