Salt Lake City ,UT : West Jordan man killed in crash after car crash left one vehicle pickup truck ran a red light near Redwood Road on Tuesday morning ,March 17th 2015

Police in West Jordan say a man has died and two other people have been injured after a car crash left one vehicle in a ravine.

West Jordan police Sgt. Dan Roberts says a pickup truck ran a red light near Redwood Road on Tuesday morning and struck another car that shot into oncoming traffic and into a ravine.

Roberts says the man driving the car was killed. A female passenger in the car was injured and the driver of the pickup truck had minor injuries.

The Salt Lake Tribune reports (http://bit.ly/1FvSqSG ) northbound lanes of Redwood Road were closed from 7800 South to 9000 South on Tuesday.
