Oak Harbor, OH : Fremont man killed in Ohio wreck on Saturday, July 9, 2016

A Fremont man died Saturday when he failed to stop at a crossing and was struck by another vehicle, Ohio State Highway Patrol officials say.

Police said John J. Word, 64, Fremont, was travelling west in a 2015 Ford Transit on Duff Washa Road and did not stop at a posted sign at S.R. 19. His vehicle was struck by a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado hauling a 24-foot boat that had been travelling north on S.R. 19.
