Rapid City, SD : Boy crossing street hit by car on Thursday, February 16, 2017
A 10-year-old boy suffered minor injuries Thursday after a car hit him as he was running across a Rapid City intersection, city police reported.
Police received a report around 3:15 pm that the boy had been hit by a Ford Fiesta as he was crossing Fifth Street heading east along St. Patrick Street, said police spokesman Brendyn Medina. The car was turning left from St. Patrick to go north on Fifth.
The car had the green light and the driver was not cited for any violation, Medina said. The boy was taken to Regional Hospital, where he was treated and released. Details of his injuries were not immediately available.
