Longview, WA : Driver charged with DUI after four-car collision south of Woodland on Friday September 16 2016

Three people were injured Friday night after a man allegedly driving under the influence hit another vehicle from behind, causing a four-car collision on Interstate 5 south of Woodland, according to Washington State Patrol.

Officials said Dennis Yarosz, 58, of Ridgefield was southbound on the left lane on I-5 at milepost 18 when he hit a truck in the rear shortly before 7:30 p.m. Friday. WSP said he was charged with driving under the influence.

Yarosz's vehicle rotated to the right, was struck by a third vehicle in the center lane, and hit a guardrail on the left shoulder. The third vehicle also struck the guardrail, then hit a fourth vehicle, according to the press release.

Yarosz and his passenger, 65-year-old Sandra Yarosz, were injured as well as a 41-year-old man, Londale Dever, the driver of the first vehicle Yarosz hit, the WSP statement said. Sandra Yarosz and Dever were transported to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver and released.
