SEEKONK, MA : Driver dies after crashing car during pursuit on Friday, 4th November 2016

Police say a 29-year-old man was killed after crashing a car into a utility pole while being pursued by police.

The Seekonk Police Department announced Monday that Tony Ramos of Pawtucket, Rhode Island, died after the Friday night crash on Fall River Avenue. Police say Ramos did not stop when officers tried to pull him over for a motor vehicle violation and that he crashed soon after. Ramos was taken to Rhode Island Hospital, where he later died.

The crash is being investigated by Massachusetts State Police and the Bristol County District Attorney's Office.
