MEMPHIS, TN : 4 injured after 18 wheeler, TDOT truck crash on Hwy 385 on Wednesday, 15th August 2018

Crews shut down a portion of Highway 385 on Wednesday morning.

The crash happened near 4 a.m. at 385 and Forest Hill Irene, involving a TDOT truck and an 18-wheeler in a westbound lane.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol said an F-150 hit the back of the TDOT truck and the 18-wheeler tried to avoid the crash but hit the back of the F-150, causing the tractor-trailer to overturn.

At least four people, including two TDOT employees who had been trailing a street sweeper, were taken to the hospital for their injuries.

For more than six hours, traffic was diverted as Shelby County Sheriff’s deputies and the Tennessee Highway Patrol investigated.
