Topeka,KS : Teen killed in ATV crash Wednesday night in southwest Kansas on June, Tuesday 20th 2017

A 14-year-old boy was killed in an all-terrain vehicle crash Tuesday night in southwest Kansas, authorities said.

The crash was reported at 7:04 p.m. on private property about 9 miles north of Liberal, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.

The boy was a passenger on a Polaris ATV that the highway patrol said was traveling at a high rate of speed. The driver lost control and the ATV started to fishtail, entering a skip before it “tripped” in the dirt.

The ATV came to rest on its passenger side facing east.
