Beaumont, TX : Police ID victims in fatal Sunday collision near Lamar on Sunday, 2nd October 2016
Three people died in a fiery collision Sunday morning at the 5700 block of South MLK Pkwy., according to Beaumont Police Department.
Officials said the 1 a.m. crash involved an F-350 and a Chrysler 300 at the intersection near Lamar University.
After dousing the fire with fire extinguishers from their patrol cars, the officers found two people dead in the Chrysler and one person dead and one alive but injured in the truck.
The two passengers of the Chrysler were Beaumont residents Joshawa Keith Beck, 25, and his mother Bethany Ann Beck, 44, officials said.
One passenger from the F-350, 25-year-old Damien Lavon Johnson died at the scene of the accident, officials confirmed.
Officials said the other 18-year-old passenger of the F-350 was taken to a hospital in Houston and is currently in the ICU with life-threatening injuries.
The Houston-native passengers of the F-350, were ejected from the truck during the accident.
Officials are unsure of who was driving the vehicle, which was reported stolen from Houston.
Beaumont PD is still investigating the crash.
