Shelby, NC : Two injured in U.S. 74 wreck on Tuesday, 24th April 2018

Two people were injured in a rush-hour wreck that narrowly landed a car in a creek.

At about 5 p.m. Tuesday, a Honda Civic headed west on U.S. 74 went off the right side of the road and slammed into a tree, just feet away from going down a ravine into Brushy Creek.

The two were transported to Carolinas HealthCare System Cleveland with unknown injuries.

No names have been released.

The right lane of U.S. 74 westbound from Polkville Road past the Brushy Creek Bridge was closed.

Shelby Police Officers believe the weather could have been a factor in this crash.
