Memphis ,TN : One person injured after hitting the guardrail along Interstate 40 on Tuesday night ,May 26th 2015

Traffic was blocked Tuesday night on westbound Interstate 40 at Austin Peay Highway after an accident on the interstate.
According to police, a black Infiniti G35 drove off the roadway after hitting the guardrail and breaking through it.

the car had flipped off the road. According to WMC Action News 5's Jason Miles, the area where the car landed was a swampy area.

Police identified Secielia Richardson as the driver of the car and she was taken to Regional Medical Center in critical condition

John Richardson was the front seat passenger and he refused treatment.

He initially gave officers misinformation about his identity. Police found warrants under his actual name and he was taken into custody and transported to the Criminal Justice Center.

Investigators searched the area for a third person that was in the car. They say the person may either be in the woods or walked away along the road.
