One person was killed in a car crash Monday afternoon on Interstate 89 in Richmond, police said. The driver was headed north on I-89 near Exit 11 around 3:35 p.m. when her car left the highway, crossed the median, crossed both southbound lanes and went off the road again before stopping next to railroad tracks, state police said.
The driver died at the scene. She was identified as Johanne Bell, 66, of Cromwell, Connecticut.
