Beckley, WV : Car crashes into building in Beckley on Wednesday, September 27th 2017

A car crashed into Doctors Immedicare on Harper Road Wednesday when a woman drove it into the parking lot at a high rate of speed, according to Beckley Police.

The building houses multiple business and early reports said the building affected was Bypass Pharmacy.

Raleigh County emergency dispatchers said the incident occurred shortly after 2:30 p.m. Beckley Fire and Police departments responded.

Beckley Cpl. N.J. Smith said witnesses reported the car swerved into the building after entering the lot.

Dispatchers said the vehicle crashed all the way inside the building.

Smith said the woman was transported to a local hospital, but her condition or the extent of her injuries was unknown Wednesday.
