An Orlando man was killed and his passenger seriously injured in a Thanksgiving Day accident at the Southern Boulevard exit ramp of Interstate 95 in West Palm Beach.
Chan Singh, 63, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. A passenger in his 2009 Nissan Sentra, Hansranie Singh, 61, of Orlando, was transported to St. Mary's Hospital in West Palm Beach where she was listed in serious condition.
Chan Singh was driving east on Southern Boulevard about 5:10 a.m. Thursday when he stopped in the left turn lane at the intersection of I-95, according to a report.
Michael Vincent Tomei, 25, of New York, was driving southbound in a Hyundai Genesis on the Southern Boulevard ramp. Tomei "failed to negotiate the turn and crossed the westbound lanes and struck the left side" of Singh's vehicle, the report states.
