Leesburg, FL : Live Oak man dies in car crash on April, Saturday 8th 2017
A Live Oak man died Saturday evening after losing control of his truck, which overturned before striking a barbed wire fence and tree along U.S. 129 in Suwannee County, according to an FHP release.
David Dean Manning, 57, of Live Oak, was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 northbound on U.S. 129 near the 99th Lane intersection when the vehicle entered the east shoulder of the roadway while Manning was negotiating a left-hand curve, the report said.
Investigators believe Manning over corrected as he tried to regain control of the truck, which crossed over both lanes on U.S. 129 as the vehicle spun counter-clockwise.
The truck then entered a ditch off the west side of the road where it overturned and struck a barbed wire fence and tree, coming to a rest on its right side.
Manning was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
