Pickens,SC : One dead after car overturns, strikes tree on June, Friday 16th 2017

The Pickens County Coroner responded to an accident that killed one person on Friday night.

The crash happened around 11:15 p.m. on SC 8 near Bethlehem Ridge Road, according to South Carolina Highway Patrol.

According to troopers, the victim was a driver of a 2016 Ford Focus. The accident happened when the victim crossed the center lines and sideswiped an oncoming car. The Ford Focus went off the side of the road, overturned and struck a tree. The driver died at the scene, troopers said.
