LA VERGNE, TN : Woman rescued after crashing car into culvert in La Vergne on Tuesday, 23rd January 2024

A serious crash left a car wedged inside a culvert and sent its driver to the hospital in La Vergne early Tuesday morning.

According to police at the scene, a woman drove off the road and crashed her car into a culvert on Firestone Parkway and JP Hennessy Drive around 2:30 a.m. The location of the crash is right at the Davidson County/Rutherford County lines.

The La Vergne Fire Department was first to the scene and immediately went into rescue efforts to remove the woman from the vehicle. She was removed safely and transported to the hospital. The extent of her injuries is unknown but she was alert and talking before she was placed into the ambulance.

Officers with the Metro Nashville Police Department were also at the scene to reroute traffic around the area.
