Medford, OR : One dead following rollover crash near Sams Valley on Thursday, October, 19th 2017
A man died Thursday morning in a rollover crash at the intersection of Highway 234 and Ramsey Road, which is northeast of Gold Hill and just outside Sams Valley.
The crash occurred at 8:30 a.m., according to emergency dispatch records.
The vehicle, a boom truck belonging to J.I.M. and Associates Inc., left the roadway on its passenger side, then rolled completely and landed on its tires.
The male victim, whose identity has not yet been released pending next-of-kin notification, was ejected from the vehicle, according to Jackson County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Julie Denney. He was pronounced dead at the scene. He was the only person in the vehicle, police said.
“The crash is still under investigation, and more information will be released later,” Denney said.
In a post from the sheriff department Twitter account, officials warned drivers to avoid the area.
